TRICOMPOST culture details
Mode of Action:
It is a talc-based microbial culture containing mycelium and spores of Trichoderma spp. which sanitizes organic waste materials in favorable pH, temperature, moisture, and aerobic conditions. Trichoderma spp. exhibits a potent lignolytic, chitinolytic, cellulolytic and hemicellulolytic decomposing activity.
Trichoderma spp. present in INORA’s TRICOMPOST CULTURE produces powerful substances to decompose different substrates such non-homogenous kitchen waste including food waste, paper, animal offal, and even biofuels.
Trichoderma spp., well-known as biocontrol agents, produces anti-microbial and anti-fungal extracellular volatile and non-volatile secondary metabolites that are responsible for sanitization of compost active column by suppressing the pathogenic microflora.
Features and Benefits:
- Readily interact with other microorganisms to successfully improve and accelerate the decomposition process of aerobic composting.
- Enhances release of nutrients, due to break down of complex compounds, into readily available forms for plant use.
- Convert organic matter into pathogen free compost.
- Reduce the time required to breakdown of lignin, hemi-cellulose and cellulose from the waste.
- It maintains ecological balance.
How to Use:
- Segregate and remove all non-degradable matter such as glass, metal, plastic, etc. from the organic waste. Make a layer of Biodegradable waste of size 3’×3’×1’.
- Spread 10 gm of INORA’s TRICOMPOST CULTURE on the layer of waste or spray slurry of 10 gm compost culture in 1 liter water on this layer.
- Spread the product on each layer in the same way.
- Turning should be given after every 8 days. Moisture content must be maintained.
- Compost is ready in maximum 3 months.
Note:
- The composting time may vary depending on the nature of waste and conditions during composting.
- Sprinkle TRICOMPOST CULTURE on the waste layer.
- Preferentially, place the compost container in shade.
- Best results when used with INORA’s DECOMPOSITION CULTURE and IVEM.
