Mode of Action:

Zinc is a vital micronutrient required in small amount for optimum plant growth. Zinc solubilizing bacteria has potential to improve the plant growth and development by colonizing the rhizosphere and by solubilizing complex zinc compounds into simpler ones, thus making zinc available to the plants through mechanisms listed below:

1. Acidification: These microbes produce organic acids in soil which sequester the zinc cations and decrease the pH of the nearby soil.
2. Production of siderophores chelate zinc and enhance zinc solubility.
